DEN is excited to announce the early line-up for the 2017 Dartmouth Entrepreneurs Forum (DEF) in San Francisco on Friday, September 8 at UCSF Mission Bay. The DEF is open to the entire Dartmouth community.

Alumni/ae are coming from across the business spectrum and around the world to hear fireside chats from Dartmouth leaders at Tesla and Facebook, and to see panels of Dartmouth entrepreneurs and investors discussing subjects as The Secrets of Y Combinator, When to Jump to a New Career, Most Common Mistakes in Hiring, and Leveraging the Dartmouth Network for Your Start-up.  Beyond the world of tech, this year's Forum will also have the panels So You Want To Be a Social Entrepreneur and Finding Fame and Fortune in the Wine Business.

We also have speakers coming from Hanover. Dean Matt Slaughter from Tuck, Dean Joe Helble from Thayer, and Chair of Computer Science, Hany Farid will together present Dartmouth's exciting vision for the "West End" - a new and unique collaboration between the undergraduate and graduate programs to advance Dartmouth in the world of engineering, computer science and business. Associate Provost Eric Fossum will discuss how the West End project will incorporate the Dartmouth Entrepreneurial Network (DEN) to ensure that entrepreneurship is front and center to the College's plans.

Dartmouth alums love to network.  As with every Forum, networking opportunities among the Dartmouth community will abound again this year, including over breakfast, lunch and a happy hour at the end of the day.

More speakers will be announced as the date for the Forum draws closer, but you should get your tickets now, as space at UCSF is limited.

Beyond the Forum itself, DEN is also bringing back the highly popular Office Hours workshop on Thursday afternoon, September 7 in SF.  Dartmouth entrepreneurs from pre-launch and seed stage start-ups will be connected one-on-one with seasoned entrepreneurs, tech execs, developers, designers, lawyers and investors from the Dartmouth community.  DEN pioneered Office Hours last year to stellar feedback and are excited to do it again this year.

If you are interested to meet with Dartmouth mentors, please email us with your name, class year, company name and a brief summary of your company or idea. Co-founders are invited to come to Office Hours as well.  Office Hours are free of charge, and all Dartmouth founders who participate in Thursday's Office Hours will receive free admission to the Forum on Friday.

Please email us with any questions.  Additionally, if you are a current student or young alum who graduated in the last five years, please email us for a discount code to the Forum.

See you on September 7th and 8th!
