Enjoy another great, casual Wine(d) Down Friday at the Los Altos Tasting Room, owned by Benny and Amy Madsen T’96!
Amy and Benny purchased Byington Vineyard & Winery in Los Gatos in 2013. This well-established Pinot Noir estate has been significantly expanded over the past six years and has added the Los Altos Tasting Room, solar power and a hiking trail at the vineyard and winery, and a 240 acre ranch in Sonoma’s Alexander Valley that grows Cabernet Sauvignon, Chardonnay, Merlot, and Cabernet Franc. The winery produces a wide array of varietals including several award-winning Cabernet Sauvignons and Pinots, a Sauvignon Blanc/Viognier blend, and a Saignée.
This will be a “Mix and Mingle” event, where guests buy their own glass tab purchase. The Tasting Room has a lot of options: tasting flight with free logo glass ($15), keg wine for $5 for a young Zinfandel red or Rose, and other wine by the glass at $13 and $15. Appropriate nibbles are also available for purchase. This is a great chance to mingle with your fellow Silicon Valley Dartmouth alums, taste and enjoy!
