Once again, Friends of Edgewood Park Dartmouth alum docents Sandy Bernhard ’82 and Frank Peale ’80 will lead us on a Dartmouth only hike in Edgewood Park. This year we will gather at the west end of the Edgewood Trail, at the intersection of Edgewood Rd. and Canada Rd. (west side of I-280). This is a great entrance for seeing flowers right away (there is serpentine soil right there).  Access to the park is easy, and we will do a nice loop around the Central Ridge.  There is parking at this trailhead on both sides of Edgewood Rd. and also along Cañada.  Here is a link to the location: Edgewood-Canada Parking

Only drawback: No toilets at this location, so either plan to stop at the Education Center at the main entrance to the park at the base of Edgewood Road, officially 6 Old Stagecoach Road. (restrooms and water available) or the porta potty at the Clarkia trailhead on Cañada Road.

Wear sturdy shoes and sunscreen and bring water, a hat, and a snack if you wish.
