Virtual Kettlebell Workshop: Learn the Kettlebell Swing

  • Do you have a kettlebell but don’t know how to use it?
  • Are you worried you’ll get injured because you don’t know correct kettlebell technique?
  • Do you want to build strength sustainably and safely?

Join Women of Dartmouth for a virtual kettlebell swing workshop on Wednesday, December 1st at 5:00pm EST with Catherine Buck Le D’04.

About this workshop:

This workshop is designed for beginners!  If you’re new to kettlebells, this is the perfect place to start.

You’ll learn the kettlebell swing and deadlift.

The swing is the foundation of kettlebell training.  It’s a powerful hip-hinge movement that strengthens the entire body.  Practicing the hardstyle kettlebell swing will build strong glutes, hamstrings, abs, back, and grip.  The kettlebell swing is also an extremely effective yet low-impact conditioning tool.

You only need one kettlebell — any size will work.

This is a skill workshop, so you will be moving, but it’s not a workout.  Wear comfortable clothing and expect to break a light sweat.

Catherine (you may have known her as “Bucky” on campus) is a StrongFirst Elite certified instructor.

About Cat

I am a StrongFirst Elite instructor, which means I hold all four of the StrongFirst certifications in kettlebell, barbell, and bodyweight strength. I believe everyone can experience life-changing transformation through the dedicated skill practice of strength training. In my twenties, I struggled with food and exercise. I battled my body with hours of cardio and had an uninformed, restrict-and-binge mindset around food. I felt lost, frustrated, and trapped. I knew I needed to build a positive relationship with my body and upgrade my emotional self-image.

Learning the skill of strength and achieving my instructor certifications changed the course of my life. Through immersing myself in the StrongFirst system and building real strength, I discovered the power of dedicated, disciplined training. I went from being someone who was always “working out” to being an athlete who trains for goals and practices skills. My goal as a coach is to lead my students to live happier, more fulfilled lives through working towards strength goals and overcoming self-limiting beliefs. I teach my students to achieve their full potential using the tools of strength training, quality movement, nutrition, and self-reflection. Through the discipline of strength training, we can learn and master all the skills necessary to become our most powerful, confident selves.

In addition to being a certified instructor under StrongFirst, TRX, and Ground Force Method, I am also a Precision Nutrition Level 1 certified nutrition coach. When I’m not training or coaching, you can find me traveling, hiking, paddleboarding, and enjoying the outdoors with my husband Chau and our Rhodesian Ridgeback Gracie.
